An update from Nutto

Hello everyone,

I hope you're all doing well. I've been thinking of all of you and miss you very much.

A lot has happened since I graduated and started working in Buffalo. The last time I had a chance to catch up with anyone from BYB was when I met P'Dew and P'Champ in Rochester.

Today, I'd like to check in with everyone once again. I've safely returned to Thailand, and I'm happy to share that I've recently received an offer from Deloitte Consulting. I'll be starting my new job very soon, and I'm really excited about this next chapter.

During the period after graduation and throughout my internship in the United States, I had the opportunity to work in the Tech and Data field, which was quite different from both my original plan and what I had imagined for myself. In the end, however, I've found my way back to the career path I originally proposed when I applied for the BYB programme: consulting in supply chain, technology, and digital transformation. It's a role that allows me to bring together everything I learned in graduate school with the practical experience I gained during my training in the United States.

Getting to this offer wasn't easy. I went through eight rounds of interviews, which was exhausting but also incredibly rewarding. I learned so much throughout the process. Looking back, I'm genuinely happy and proud of where I've ended up, not only because of the rewarding income, but also because of the nature of the work and the team I'll be joining. To me, this is truly an important milestone in my professional journey.

Reflecting on everything, I often think that if I hadn't made the decision to leave my previous job and pursue further studies and an internship in the United States, my career would probably still have progressed over time. But I don't think it would have broadened my horizons or accelerated my personal and professional growth in the way this experience has.

More than ever, I now realise that the opportunity to study and work in the United States through the support of the Matilda Foundation has been one of the most worthwhile opportunities of my life. It gave me the chance to truly experience life, step outside my comfort zone, make mistakes, learn from them, and encounter countless new experiences. Most importantly, it helped me grow in so many ways, in my mindset, my perspective on life, and my career.

Along the way, there were certainly challenges and difficult moments. My family also went through a significant turning point that required all of us to stay strong, think carefully, and work together to navigate a number of challenges. It was a difficult period for us, but thankfully things have gradually improved. From here on, my goal is to focus on my career while taking the best possible care of both myself and my family.

Once I begin work, probably around mid-April or early May, I plan to start repaying my BYB scholarship as soon as I receive my first salary, so that the fund can continue supporting future generations of students.

Finally, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for creating and supporting such a wonderful programme. Without BYB, I truly believe I would not be the person I am today, someone who has grown, seen a much bigger world, and been given the opportunity to come this far.
